How to Make Your Own Dawn Powerwash Refill (and SAVE Money!)

If you’ve ever wondered if you could refill the Dawn Powerwash yourself, YOU CAN!

Today, I’m sharing a super easy recipe that works. You’ll need three ingredients, but the main ingredient that makes this DIY work so well is the rubbing alcohol.

So here’s everything you’ll need.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 13 oz distilled water
  • 4 tbsp Dawn Original Dish Soap
  • 2 tbsp rubbing alcohol

TOOLS:

  • Measuring cup / mason jar
  • Funnel

STEPS:

  1. Fill your measuring cup or mason jar with 13 0z of distilled water
  2. Add your Dawn dish soap and alcohol
  3. Stir ingredients together and let it sit for a while. About 3-4 hours to give the alcohol and water enough time to blend well.
  4. Pour your mixture into your empty Powerwash Refill bottle.

It WORKS! This recipe makes refills a 16oz bottle, but if you want to make more, you can just double the ingredients.

I hope you enjoy this hack as much as I do! Especially since a bottle of Dawn Powerwash Refill is almost $5 every time, you’ll be making your own for MUCH less than that!

I’m sure you could try using a different brand. I just only buy Dawn original because it’s all I ever use.
